Some of our windows locks were broken and a few of our windows were catching on opening and closing. A quick call to Lee and he came round to see if they could help. Rick and Justin came over this morning, replaced quite a few window handles and adjusted some windows which now close smoothly. They also had a look at our french doors which had dropped slightly and they now open perfectly again. They were professional, friendly and did a great job, thank you!

I contacted Window Doctor as I had 5 transom windows that had failed locking mechanisms in the permanently locked position. They came and fitted new locking mechanisms. Also adjusted my sticking front door- all left working okay.

Well I tried to make it as hard as I could. Sure, they can replace the patio door glass, but can they do it in one week? No-one else could, and I was quoted as much as 10 weeks elsewhere. They had to call in a favour from the glass supplier, but one week? no problem. Ok, then, how’s their emotional strength? When the missus let them in I had no shirt on. Horrible shock for anyone, but somehow they kept coming. I tried trapping their fingers in the door when I showed them the problem, and even the dog decided to be friendly at first and then have a nip at them! But even then they continued to work on cheerfully, maybe because the missus gave my good biscuits to them?

Truly, they did a great job for a good price in a very tight timescale. Can highly recommend!

The guys came up with an innovative solution to repair our conservatory door which required more than the typical repair. I was very pleased with the finished job and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Lee Tompkins is brilliant. He really knows about windows! The first time I contacted him by email with a problem, he suggested that I tried spraying WD40 on the stiff window hinge – this worked and cost me nothing!
More recently I had a catch break on a different window which was then stuck shut. He came and made a great job of repairing it.

This service is not inexpensive but the two men who came gave an excellent service and on that basis alone I would highly recommend them.

Let me begin by saying I rarely write reviews, everyone wants you to but it’s so time consuming, however in this case I will make an exception, because this company really is exceptional. Firstly I was having the glass in the doors to a balcony replaced because it had gone cloudy. That was done so everything worked just fine but I also asked them to fix a problem with the main door to the balcony which had dropped and left a gap through to the outside and become sticky and difficult to open. I won’t bore you with the details but it was a different system than most commonly used but they spent over an hour working on the problem until they sorted it out. The door now glides open and there are no gaps to the outside. The company would not take any additional payment. The fitters were so much more knowledgeable than the company that supplied and fitted them in the first place. Overall a pleasure to do business with.

Have used Window Doctor a couple of times now and the outcomes have been excellent to the extent that I see them as another ‘great find’. Any issues with windows and doors Window Doctor is our first choice. Add to great work quality a most genial, caring team who respond quickly to requests for help and provide clear and competitive estimates / quotes. Commended without reservation.

We had an accidental breakage of a French door glass, caused by a flicked up stone and knew immediately we needed Window doctor services as we had used them before for a fogged up pane replacement, and later a hinge repair following a windy storm catching an open window. It was such a pleasure dealing with Lee. He was quick and effective in communicating (by text, phone), efficient in providing a written quote, and completed the job in timely manner. All these features one would expect from a true professional but I was pleasantly surprised about him going the extra mile.

We had a spiderweb like break of a sliding door glass from an accident involving a stone pebble and a lawnmower.. In response to concerns about the possibility of the fragments falling away due to winds, weight of the glass etc, Lee took the initiative to secure it with thick plastic and tape until the glass order was delivered. This was unsolicited but he was aware of the concern and addressed it without any extra charge, and without a fuss/fanfare – I wouldn’t have been aware that he did this until our tenant mentioned it.

Lee came and measured my broken window the day after it happened. Within a week, it was replaced!

I was kept informed of when the glass would be ready, and given a convenient time slot for the repair.

Lee and Justin mended a wedged shut window, changed hinges on two others, and, noticing the front door was sticking on the way out, fixed that too!

House is noticeably warmer and traffic noise reduced as a result. Definitely prolonged the life of otherwise pretty decent windows.

The Window Dr offered us an immediate response and solution to three faulty window handles – fixed straightaway at the price quoted – and a prompt and very reasonable quote for 6 issues with condensation between other window panes. I had four windows that needed some TLC (not opening, broken latches) and reached out to Lee who was very friendly and arranged a quick appointment.
